Barcelona is close to finalizing several important deals in the transfer market, but the club’s activity is not limited to new signings. It is also preparing for the potential departure of one of its key players in the coming period.
According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain has entered advanced negotiations with Spanish forward Ferran Torres at the request of head coach Luis Enrique, who sees the player as an ideal option to strengthen the attack thanks to his ability to play in multiple attacking positions and his experience in high-profile matches.
The reports indicate that a preliminary agreement has been reached between the player and the French club, while negotiations with Barcelona remain the decisive step in completing the deal, given the Catalan club’s insistence on receiving what it considers an appropriate transfer fee.
Barcelona’s management has no intention of lowering its financial demands, considering Ferran Torres’ market value to be no less than €50 million. The club is unwilling to enter into negotiations for a lower fee, especially given the interest from a club of Paris Saint-Germain’s stature.
Meanwhile, Barcelona has begun preparing for any potential departures by strengthening its squad with the signing of English winger Anthony Gordon and continuing negotiations with German forward Karim Adeyemi as part of a plan to maintain the strength of its attacking line for the upcoming season.
The club’s management, led by sporting director Deco, believes that acting early in the transfer market gives Barcelona an advantage in replacing any player who leaves the team without disrupting the tactical project led by head coach Hansi Flick.
With negotiations ongoing, Ferran Torres’ future remains one of the biggest unresolved issues at Barcelona, pending the outcome of talks between the two clubs in the coming days.
