Good news for Barcelona before Betis.. a star missing for weeks is back and Flick faces a big decision

Barcelona returned to training on Thursday after a day off following the 4-1 win at Galatasaray, but the biggest news of the session was not the return of the starters. It was the appearance of a star who had been missing for weeks.

It is a return that could hand Hansi Flick an extra weapon before Saturday’s game against Real Betis, and ahead of a decisive week against PSG and Real Madrid.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Brazilian forward Raphinha trained with the group for the first time since getting injured on international duty during the last break, after missing the games against Getafe and Galatasaray.

Raphinha suffered an edema in the back of his right thigh on September 29 playing for Brazil against Australia, and until today he had only been working on his own.

Frenkie de Jong also trained normally. He has been with the group for more than a week after injuring his right knee at the last World Cup and is waiting for medical clearance, with Flick saying in a press conference that he hoped to count on him against Betis.

Flick now has the whole squad available except Christensen and Roony, and will decide with the medical staff and the players whether to call up both, one or neither of them for Saturday’s game against Betis at La Cartuja.
