Injury Crisis Escalates: Hansi Flick Reveals Barcelona Star’s Update After PSG Battle

FC Barcelona has been dealt a painful new blow that compounded the bitterness of their first defeat of the season, following a 4-2 loss away to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League. The concerns within the Catalan club were not limited to dropping three points, but extended to the specter of injuries that continues to haunt manager Hansi Flick’s squad, as another key midfielder and attacker joined the injury list amid serious fears of an extended absence.

The core detail of the incident saw Spanish star Dani Olmo suffer a sudden injury during the first half of the high-octane fixture at the Parc des Princes, forcing him to limp off the pitch holding his knee to the shock of the coaching staff. Following the full-time whistle, manager Hansi Flick addressed the media to shed light on Olmo’s wellbeing, confirming that the player took a heavy hit causing discomfort and pain, and stressing that the club must wait for medical examinations to determine the exact extent of the injury and potential recovery period, further compounding defensive and midfield absences following prior knocks to Eric García and Jules Koundé.
