Spanish press reports sparked a huge surprise that Barcelona and its coach Xavi Hernandez received a double blow before their match with Napoli in the Champions League, according to what press reports indicated today.
Barcelona is preparing to face Italian League champion Napoli next Wednesday at Diego Maradona Stadium in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League.
According to information received from the Spanish newspaper “RAC1”, the duo Joao Felix and Ferran Torres are absent at the present time due to the injuries they sustained at the end of last January.
The newspaper added that Ferran Torres suffers from a strained hamstring injury, which means he will not be able to play against Napoli in the Champions League.
While the Portuguese winger, Felix, is undergoing treatment for an injury and a ligament problem in his ankle, he will miss the anticipated Napoli match as well.
The newspaper added that the duo had been officially excluded from the team’s trip to Naples, and Xavi’s reliance would be limited to the quartet of Rafinha, Lewandowski, Vitor Roquin, and Lamine Yamal.
