Barcelona is seeking to finalize the contract with the new coach before the end of the season to prepare for next summer’s Mercato and arrange priorities.
The past few hours witnessed new developments regarding the FC Barcelona team’s contract with a new technical director to succeed Xavi Hernandez.
Xavi Hernandez, coach of the Barcelona first team, announced his departure from the Catalan team at the end of the current season.
According to Sky Sports Germany, German coach Hansi Flick rejected the option of returning again to lead Bayern Munich in the middle of the season, in light of the approaching departure of Thomas Tuchel.
The network continued that Flick will wait for Barcelona and its move to replace Xavi, and will wait for the Catalan club to take a serious step to use his services starting from the next season 2024/2025.
Flick previously coached the Bayern Munich team between 2019 and 2021, and achieved many achievements with Bayern Munich, most notably achieving the German League title twice and the Champions League title once.
