Spanish club Real Madrid is planning to sign a replacement for Italian club coach Carlo Ancelotti if the latter decides to leave.
Several press reports have circulated recently, indicating that Carlo will leave Real Madrid training during the next summer transfer period, especially since the Royal team did not make an offer to renew the coach’s contracts.
It is noteworthy that the Italian had agreed with the Brazilian Football Confederation to assume the technical leadership task of coaching the Brazilian national team during the coming period after he leaves the Merengue.
According to what was revealed by the Spanish newspaper “Marca”, the capital club’s board of directors, headed by Florentino Perez, is planning to sign a new coach to take over the position of technical director to succeed Ancelotti.
This comes on the sidelines of the Royal Club’s plan, in the event that the Italian coach decides to leave and officially sign a contract with the Brazilian national team, as Real Madrid wants to secure his fate.
According to journalist Christopher Michel, he confirmed that the Spaniard, Xabi Alonso, the coach of Bayer Leverkusen, is considering staying in his team and waiting a few years until there is a place in the royal team for coaches.
The Spanish coach also decided that he does not want to join Bayern Munich in Germany or Liverpool in England now, as Merengue is the club of his dreams.
Alonso also wants to keep Real Madrid’s door open no matter what happens, and for this reason the release clause will be a very important part of any potential talks with the Reds or Bavarian.
In addition, several press reports stressed that Royal Club officials are placing Xavi as a priority if Ancelotti decides to officially leave the team.
