Officials of the Spanish club Real Madrid, headed by Florentino Perez, are seeking to sign a contract with the German League star during the upcoming summer transfer period of 2024, to strengthen the ranks of the Merengue team during the next season.
Perez seeks to replace and renew the Madrid team, especially at the level of the defense line and midfield, and the upcoming summer Mercato will be the ideal time for Perez to do that.
The German newspaper “Bild” revealed that the arrival of Canadian Alphonso Davies, a Bayern Munich player, may leave Mendy outside the Santiago Bernabeu stadium during the upcoming summer transfer period of 2024.
The newspaper added that Ferland Mendy’s contract with Real Madrid will expire in the summer of 2025, so next summer will be the last opportunity to sell the player for a large sum.
The newspaper added that Mendy’s performance greatly satisfies the technical staff, but there are voices within the Real Madrid board of directors talking about the necessity of selling the French star in the summer in order to benefit financially from his sale.
