The Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” revealed the name of Barcelona’s new coach, after confirming that the agreement had been reached between the club and the coach, and the date for the official announcement of the deal had also been decided.
The Spanish newspaper leaked a behind-the-scenes video of Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, meeting with Pini Zahavi, the agent of German coach Hansi Flick, the former coach of Bayern Munich and the German national team.
Mundo Deportivo confirmed that the Barcelona president met with Hansi Flick’s agent, and all the financial details and conditions for the German coach were agreed upon, so that he would be the new coach of the Catalan team after the departure of Xavi.
The Spanish newspaper explained that Joan Laporta also spoke directly with Hansi Flick, and the two parties reached a final agreement, so that the German coach would take over the task of coaching Barcelona starting next season.
Barcelona decided to announce its contract with Hansi Flick to succeed Xavi in coaching the Catalan team, immediately after the end of this season’s competitions, and the end of all Barcelona’s matches in the Spanish League and the Champions League.
