The management of the Spanish club Barcelona is trying to identify some strong and young talents in the Spanish League this season, to strengthen the team’s ranks with new players in the coming season.
This step comes due to Barcelona’s weak financial position in recent years, which largely prevents them from signing huge deals due to the salary cap.
The newspaper “Sport” published that Barcelona officials are close to signing Marcos Parejo, 18 years old, from Rayo Vallecano, despite there being great interest in his return to the Bernabéu, but Parejo promised Barca management to move to the team.
The Spanish newspaper added that the player was spotted inside the Catalan club’s headquarters in the past few days, which confirms that he is close to signing for the Blaugrana in the coming period.
On the other hand, the Spanish talent enjoys the interest of many European clubs, most notably the English club Manchester City, which inquired from its team about the player’s position on leaving.
She pointed out that Parejo is performing at an impressive level with Vallecano, and his left foot has attracted the attention of many senior European players, but he promised Barcelona officials to move to the Blaugrana.
She explained that Parejo had already been seen at Barcelona’s headquarters, and he is expected to soon sign his transfer contracts to Barcelona.
It was reported that Parejo played in Real Madrid’s youth teams, but was excluded due to his poor physical fitness. He then broke up with Vallecano after his physical fitness improved, which caught the attention of the Merengues and made them try to bring him back.
