Spanish reports confirmed on Tuesday that Barcelona does not face a threat from Bayern Munich regarding keeping Ronald Araujo, the team’s defender, during the upcoming summer transfer period.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, Bayern Munich’s contract with Araujo was one of the German club’s main goals during the last winter transfer period, as communication occurred between the player and the Bavarian club.
The newspaper explained that the situation has changed now, as Araujo is no longer a priority for Bayern Munich in the upcoming summer transfer period.
The newspaper indicated that Bayern Munich has now withdrawn from the idea of contracting with Araujo, since their defense sector is showing improvement.
She confirmed that the Bavarian club will need to invest heavily in the midfield and left-back position during the upcoming summer transfer period, especially in the event of Alphonso Davies’ departure to Real Madrid.
It has become the view of Bayern Munich officials that no new deal can be completed in defense at the present time, unless one of the prominent players such as Matthijs de Ligt, Dayot Upamecano, or Kim Min-jae leaves for an appropriate sum of money.
