It seems that the Saudi Al-Nasr team is heading towards clinching a big deal in the upcoming summer transfer market, as it aims to strengthen its ranks with a distinguished player coming from the English Premier League.
According to what was revealed by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United did not make any official offer to extend the contract of French defender Raphael Varane.
Although Varane, 30, whose contract with Manchester United expires in 2025, has yet to receive any official offer for a renewal.
Press reports indicate that the Saudi clubs Al-Nasr and Al-Ittihad have already begun their talks to sign Varane, who is considered one of the distinguished names in the English Premier League.
However, Romano denied any evidence of reports claiming Manchester United had offered Varane a new contract three months before his contract expired.
