The season is approaching its end and all European clubs have begun to prepare for the next summer Mercato with full force, and at the forefront of these teams is certainly Barcelona, which is seeking to conclude many strong contracts to return the team to its former glory.
Many reports that spread recently indicated a resounding exchange deal between the German giant Bayern Munich and Barcelona, led by President Laporta.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, Ronald Araujo is getting closer and closer to leaving Barcelona, as the promising appearance of Pau Cobarci has caused the Catalan club’s management to take a decision to listen to the offers submitted to the Uruguayan defender.
Bayern Munich is preparing to make an offer worth 100 million euros to sign Araujo next summer, an amount that Barcelona cannot refuse, because it will alleviate the financial pressures that the club is suffering from.
However, Barcelona wants to make a greater profit from this deal, the newspaper added. The sports administration has put many Bayern Munich players on the list of new signings, so the Blaugrana’s goal is to include one of them, to kill two birds with one stone.
The deal will take a long time, as the relationship between the two parties is not in the best condition, after the pressure exerted by Barcelona regarding the contract with Robert Lewandowski. However, Bayern Munich want Araujo, as he is a priority target, so they will sit down to negotiate with Deco and Joan Laporta.
According to El Nacional newspaper, Barcelona’s first request is Kimmich, who asked Bayern Munich for an agreed-upon departure a few seasons ago and the Bavarian club refused, although it may accept his transfer this summer, taking into account that the player is 29 years old.
Kimmich is worth 60 million euros, so it is possible to close Araujo’s departure in exchange for the German midfielder and a figure between 40 and 50 million euros.
As for Araujo, he does not rule out leaving, as he hinted in his recent statements. The Uruguayan always declares his desire to continue, but he left an addition that his future is in the hands of the club. If Barcelona asks him to leave, he will accept a change of scene.
The fact is that Bayern Munich is offering him a much higher salary than what he currently receives at Barcelona, an offer they already made in the winter, when Bayern actually tried to sign Araujo.
