Spanish press reports revealed that the Spaniard, Luis Enrique, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain, asked the management of his club, headed by Nasser Al-Khelaifi, to expedite the contract with the Barcelona midfield star and include him in the ranks of the Parisian club in the upcoming summer transfer period.

According to the Spanish website “Sports Skida”, 26-year-old De Jong is now top of mind for Paris Saint-Germain in the upcoming summer transfer period, in light of the Dutch star’s amazing performance with Barcelona this season.
The Spanish website confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain is not alone in the race to sign De Jong, as both Manchester United and Chelsea previously showed a great desire to obtain De Jong’s services and include him officially in their ranks.
The Spanish website explained that Luis Enrique is looking forward to strengthening his options in Paris Saint-Germain’s formation at the midfield level by achieving a qualitative addition next season by signing De Jong.
The Spanish website said that although De Jong feels very happy in the ranks of Barcelona, the Catalan club may find itself forced to offer De Jong for sale in exchange for a large sum of money in light of Barcelona suffering from a stifling financial crisis at the present time.

It is noteworthy that Frenkie de Jong joined Barcelona in 2019 and has so far participated in 211 matches with the Catalan club, during which he scored 17 goals and made 21 assists.
De Jong has a contract with Barcelona that extends until the end of the 2025/2026 season, while his current market value is 70 million euros, which means that Paris Saint-Germain or its competitors need to spend many millions to win his services.
