Spanish coach Xavi Hernandez, Barcelona coach, spoke with Italian Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid coach, after El Clásico.
Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 3-2 last Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, in the 32nd round of the Spanish League.
According to the Spanish “Defensa Central” network, Xavi and Ancelotti spoke together after El Clasico about Turkish Arda Guler, the Merengue midfielder who joined the ranks of the Royal Team last summer after he preferred to join Real Madrid over Barcelona.
Xavi said to Ancelotti: “If Arda Guler had moved to Barcelona, we would have given him a chance to play for sure. In Madrid you have a lot of stars, but the player is talented and deserves a chance to prove his abilities…”
The Spanish network indicated that Barcelona officials regret losing the Guler deal from Barcelona in the last moments, after the player decided to shift his destination to Real Madrid.
After speaking with Xavi, Ancelotti said in the El Clásico press conference: “Arda Guler will get the minutes he wants to play.”
