Press reports revealed that the French club Paris Saint-Germain is planning to spoil the season deal with the Spanish club Barcelona in some way.
Barca began the journey of searching for summer deals, in order to strengthen the team’s ranks next season, and to compensate for this season’s disastrous failures under the leadership of German coach Hansi Flick.
Some press reports in the past few days stated that the Blaugrana are open to the idea of signing Polish star Xavi Simons, the Paris Saint-Germain player loaned to the German team Leipzig.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, the management of Paris Saint-Germain wants to get rid of the Dutch player Xavi Simons and keep him out of Barcelona’s sights.
The newspaper added: Barcelona lost its opportunity to include Simons, due to Bayern Munich entering the race to sign the Dutch winger, in addition to Paris’s unwillingness to transfer its player to Barcelona.
The newspaper confirmed that the French capital club requires financial compensation in exchange for abandoning the Dutchman, so it is preferable to sell him to Bayern Munich for 60 million euros, because Barca will not be able to pay this amount in light of the economic crisis it is going through.
