The Spanish newspaper said that Real Madrid is seeking to sign Joshua Kimmich in order to replace the other German, Toni Kroos, who announced his final retirement from football, as he played his last match with Real Madrid in the Champions League final, which they won with two clean goals at the expense of Borussia Dortmund.
The newspaper explained that Real Madrid believes that Joshua Kimmich represents a similar version of Kroos’ abilities in midfield, in addition to his strong personality, which makes him able to quickly integrate into Real Madrid’s composition next season.
The newspaper added that the matter does not stop at Real Madrid and Barcelona, as both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain also appear interested in obtaining the services of Kimmich, who is close to leaving the Bavarian club with only one season remaining on his current contract.
The Spanish newspaper pointed out that Joshua Kimmich is living in an atmosphere of instability at Bayern Munich, as the Bavarian club’s management refuses until now to make an official offer to renew his contract, which expires in 2025, which makes Kimmich very close to leaving in the current summer transfer period.
