The management of the Spanish club Barcelona succeeded in strengthening the team’s ranks, with three deals at once, before the start of the next summer transfer period, as part of Joan Laporta’s plan to form a new project for the Blaugrana from young talents.
The Barca administration is seeking to have a quiet Mercato this season by including some possible deals, in light of the economic crisis hitting the team.
Laporta’s plan, which fits the thinking of Barcelona’s new coach, German Hansi Flick, is to form a new mix of experienced players alongside distinguished young talents, with the addition of a small number of deals in the Mercato.
The Catalan newspaper Sport revealed that Barcelona was able to complete three new deals from the Espanyol Academy to support its academy ranks next season.
The newspaper added that Barcelona wants to get out of its financial crisis by signing young talents and then developing them to lead the first team to championships and achievements, as was done by the La Masia generation led by Messi.
The newspaper continued, the three players are:
1- Unai by season: (midfielder – born in 2010).
2- Birdy Villacrota (centre-back/full-back – born in 2010).
3- Xavi Mirangels (playmaker – born in 2009).
