Spanish press reports sparked a huge surprise regarding the departure of 4 players from Barcelona’s first football team during the 2024 summer transfer period, by decision of German coach Hansi Flick.
Barcelona is seeking to regain its strength again after a very difficult and disappointing season in which the Catalan team bid farewell to all the tournaments in which it participated and left without any title.
In light of this, the Spanish newspaper “Sport” revealed that the Barcelona management plans to sell 4 players, namely Rafinha, Ferran Torres, Christensen and Jules Kounde, during the current summer transfer period of 2024.
The newspaper added that the duo, De Jong and Uruguayan Ronald Arjo, are not among the list of those who departed for sporting reasons, as Flick wants to rely on them strongly in his plans next season.
The Spanish club Barcelona announced, in an official statement, that it had signed a contract with coach Hansi Flick to coach the team, as it reached an agreement for the German to become the team’s coach until June 30, 2026.
It is noteworthy that FC Barcelona finished the Spanish League competition in second place with 85 points, which they collected after winning 26 matches, drawing 7 matches and losing 5 matches.
