Press reports confirmed today that Barcelona fans demanded that Joan Laporta sign a contract with one of the prominent players in the Spanish League.
Laporta was today in the city of Castelldefels to attend the tribute to Brazilian player Ronaldinho, the former team star.
The city of Castelldefels, headed by the city’s mayor, Manuel Reyes, was keen to honor Ronaldinho, who became established and resided there during his time as a Barça player.
A star bearing the name Ronaldinho will be placed on the city park, near Plaza de las Palmeras, and there will be another star bearing the name Barcelona.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Marca”, Barca fans who were present in the city of Castelldefels while honoring Ronaldinho demanded that club president Joan Laporta sign Athletic Bilbao winger Neco Williams.
The newspaper added that Laporta asked the fans to calm down and that the deal will happen as soon as possible, as Barcelona will do everything in its power to complete this contract.
Williams’ name was linked to a move to the Catalan club during the current summer transfer period, as the Blaugrana management expressed its desire to sign him.
Williams appeared more than wonderfully with the Spanish national team during the matches between Croatia and Italy in the Euro 2024 group stage, which is currently being held in Germany.
