Barcelona’s new coach, Hansi Flick, laid out the general plan for summer deals in order to return Barcelona to its natural position that everyone knows.
The Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” reported that the priority within Barcelona currently is to include a midfielder and a fast attacking winger in order to add strength to the Barcelona squad, especially with strong competition from rival Real Madrid, which has strongly supported its ranks for the next season.
The newspaper revealed that Flick also informed Barca’s management of his need for another goalkeeper whose level is close to the German Marc-Andre ter Stegen, as there is great fear from Hansi Flick about Ter Stegen’s level, which may cause Barcelona to lose many important matches during the season.
She indicated that the goalkeeping file will be postponed to a later time until the vision becomes clear when the team returns to training, according to the players who left Barca this summer.
She pointed out that Flick believes that goalkeeping is one of the positions that needs strengthening due to his lack of complete knowledge of the capabilities of substitute goalkeeper Iñaki Peña or the reserve team’s goalkeepers, and he believes that Ter Stegen is not the goalkeeper who can be relied upon throughout the season due to fluctuations in level from time to time.
