The Spanish club Barcelona’s management plans to finalize some new deals this summer, to strengthen the team’s ranks during the upcoming summer transfer period, through exchange deals with some European clubs.
In recent seasons, the Barça battalion has been suffering from a huge financial crisis, which prevented it from signing special deals in addition to the departure of some of its stars.
The Spanish newspaper “Sport” reported that Barcelona officials are planning to enter Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo in a swap deal with Bayern Munich, in exchange for contracting with Joshua Kimmich, the star midfielder.
The newspaper added: “If Bavarian rejects this deal, Barcelona will have the only solution, which is to sell its defender to another club, with the aim of financing the deal for the German star.”
The newspaper concluded: “Araujo is considered one of the first players within Barcelona who enjoy great marketing value, and his departure will be a solution to inject a large sum of money, despite Barcelona’s insistence on the player remaining.”
Joshua Kimmich has entered the interest of many European clubs, as Barca’s new coach, Hansi Flick, is committed to including the player due to his great quality and flexibility to adapt to any role given to him on the field.
