Officials of the Spanish club Real Madrid, headed by Florentino Perez, are planning to sign a potential Barcelona deal during the current summer transfer period of 2024, to strengthen the ranks of the Merengue team.
The Spanish newspaper “Marca” revealed that the management of the Spanish club Real Madrid wants to sign the German Joshua Kimmich, the Bayern Munich player, during the current summer transfer period of 2024.
The newspaper added that Real Madrid wants to strengthen its midfield by signing Kimmich, especially after the retirement of Toni Kroos, as the Bayern Munich player has become an option available to him whether this summer or next year.
The newspaper continued that Kimmich had previously rejected Barcelona’s offer of 7 million euros as an annual salary, especially since he currently receives 19 million euros at Bayern Munich.
Kimmich’s contract with Bayern Munich expires in the summer of 2025, as the Bavarian club does not intend to renew his contract, in light of the player’s refusal to continue as well.
The Spanish club Barcelona announced, in an official statement, that it had signed a contract with coach Hansi Flick to coach the team, as it reached an agreement for the German to become the team’s coach until June 30, 2026.
It is noteworthy that FC Barcelona finished the Spanish League competition in second place with 85 points, which they collected after winning 26 matches, drawing 7 matches and losing 5 matches.
