Press reports revealed attempts by the first football team of the Spanish club Barcelona to persuade its star to accept one of the offers presented to him by the Saudi League clubs, during the current summer Mercato.
Barcelona is seeking to improve its economic conditions in order to be able to strengthen the team’s ranks in preparation for an upcoming season in which Barcelona wants to erase the failure that occurred this season after the team lost all titles and left empty-handed.
According to information received from the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, the Barcelona administration wants to get rid of Brazilian Rafinha, despite the latter’s insistence on his presence with the Catalan team.
Although the Brazilian star’s contract with the Catalan team is scheduled to expire in 2027, the team’s management no longer believes that it needs the player’s services, especially in light of the presence of the talented Lamine Yamal.
The Catalan administration is trying to convince Rafinha to accept the huge offer, especially since many reports indicated that its value reached 100 million euros, and the salary offered to him from Saudi Arabia is more than double what he gets in Catalonia.
The Spanish newspaper indicated that there are attempts by both the former player’s agent and Barcelona’s current sporting director, Deco, to persuade the player to accept the Saudi offer, but the matter has not been resolved yet.
