Spanish press reports stated that Barcelona’s management has developed an alternative plan if the club fails to sign Nico Williams.
The name of Neco Williams, 21 years old, has been linked to leaving Spanish club Athletic Bilbao, amid interest from Barcelona and more than one other major team in including him.
But the release clause in Neco Williams’ contract, “58 million euros,” will prevent Barcelona from signing him in light of the economic problems that have struck the club in recent years.
“Relevo” indicated that Barcelona is currently in negotiations with Bayern Munich to sign the skilled German winger Leroy Sane at the request of Hansi Flick, who believes that Sane is no less valuable than Nico Williams.
The newspaper added that Bayern Munich is open to selling the player, and that the player previously flirted with Barcelona and expressed his desire to play under the leadership of Hansi Flick. He also praised the talented Barcelona star Lamine Yamal and wished to play with him.
Barcelona management believes that the skilled German winger will be Plan B for the team if its contract with Neco Williams fails.
