Liverpool is seeking to strengthen its ranks with the strongest deals in order to begin a new era under the leadership of Dutch coach Arne Sloat, who took over the reins as successor to legendary coach Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool turned its attention to the Bernabéu in order to sign one of the European champions’ most important stars this summer, after a request from the Dutch coach.
Liverpool offered a swap deal to Real Madrid in order to obtain the services of Rodrigo Goes, the Real Madrid winger.
According to the Spanish “El Chirengeto” program, the Reds management has placed Rodrigo Goes as one of its top priorities, to provide a strong boost to the team in the summer Mercato.
The program indicated that Liverpool had previously submitted an offer amounting to 100 million pounds sterling to Real Madrid last month to include Rodrigo, but it was rejected.
He explained that the English team is ready to offer a swap deal to the Royal team that includes Luis Diaz, so that he can sit with Real Madrid and open the door for Rodrigo Goes to leave.
“El Chiringuito” stated that Rodrigo feels unstable, because he knows that he will face fierce competition next year with the joining of Endric and Mbappe.
He added: “Rodrigo made statements about leaving and confirmed them in Brazil, then he said that his words were misinterpreted, but that is not true.”
He continued: “Offers have begun to arrive to Real Madrid regarding Rodrygo, and the Royal Club can easily ask for a price exceeding 100 million pounds sterling.”
He concluded: “Manchester City is one of the clubs that also wants to obtain Rodrigo’s services, but his departure this summer cannot be confirmed.”
