The German newspaper Bild revealed that Real Madrid is preparing to conclude a resounding deal from the “Premier League”.
Journalist Christian Falk said that after the “Royal Club” completed the contract with French star Kylian Mbappe, he will direct his compass towards the English Premier League.
Real Madrid’s negotiations with Bayern Munich for the transfer of Alphonso Davies have slowed down, which is the first target for the Merengues to strengthen the left-back position, but it will not be the only target in the current market.
Christian Falk, who confirmed that Real Madrid has taken big steps towards strengthening the right-back position, brought in another big name, Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool.
According to the German journalist, Real Madrid hopes to benefit from the changes that will occur in Liverpool after the departure of Jurgen Klopp and the attempt to include Arnold.
The 25-year-old England international’s current contract runs until the summer of 2025, and with only one year remaining, there has been no extension yet.
Furthermore, Alexander-Arnold is open to a move to Real Madrid, and the two parties have been in contact for over a month.
He explained, “Real Madrid is interested in obtaining the services of star Trent Alexander-Arnold to strengthen the right-back position.”
He added, “The Spanish club seeks to include the best players in the world in all positions, especially young players, to dominate tournaments in the coming years.”
He pointed out that the Liverpool player is open to playing for Real Madrid, and is inclined to go to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
He stressed that the “Merengue” had already communicated with the England national team player over the past months, as his contract with the “Reds” expires next June 2025.
