Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has identified the club’s next target, who bears many similarities to Turkish attacking midfielder Arda Guler.
Real Madrid is preparing to face a difficult season next year, in which the team will strengthen, and even more so, to compete for up to seven different titles. The star of Real Madrid will undoubtedly be Kylian Mbappe, who has finally managed to fulfill his dream and become a Real Madrid player.
According to information received from the Spanish newspapers, Real Madrid continues to work in the summer transfer market and will very much insist on signing the Argentine talent Franco Mastantuno, the young midfielder – only 16 years old – from River Plate who has become a real discovery in South American football.
The newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” reported that Real Madrid is the best to sign the Argentine in the coming months, and Florentino Perez and Jose Angel Sanchez, the president’s right-hand man, are planning to complete the transfer this summer, although he may remain on loan at River Plate for a year.
Just as they did with Arda Guler last summer, Real Madrid are looking for a ‘snap operation’ with the aim of ‘stealing’ the Argentine jewel from rival teams, including Manchester City and Barcelona.
With a contract until 2026 and a release clause of around €45m, Madrid are looking to reach an agreement with River Plate, but with the added incentive of the player staying there for at least a year and this could make things easier for Mastantuno, who also wants to play for Real Madrid.
Augusto Fernandez, Mastantuono’s agent, reacted in the past few hours to the possibility of his player leaving Argentina, reminding that “Franco is focusing on River, and the only thing he wants is to play there and succeed at the club.”
The young player’s agent added: “Mastantuno is a type of player that Real Madrid could easily like. He said: “He is very attractive to Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but we have to keep our feet on the ground and remember that he is clear in his desire to play for River and continue to show his value.”
