Barcelona is seeking to regain its luster again after a very difficult season in which the Catalan team was unable to win any championship and left empty-handed.
The reform process began with the signing of German coach Hansi Flick, in whom Laporta hopes that he will be able to return Barcelona to its usual strength and get out of this difficult stage with the least losses.
In a television interview on Sky Sports, French legend Thierry Henry gave advice and a request to Laporta and Hansi Flick that would serve Barcelona before the start of the competition for titles next season.
Henry asked Laporta not to give excessive attention to the Neco Williams deal because he will not be the player who will take Barcelona to another level, as Henry believes that there is a player who would be better for Barcelona than the Spanish star.
The legend Henry added: Barcelona’s problem is not in the attacking line, but Barcelona needs a midfielder with different abilities. Henry nominated Barcelona to sign Spanish star Fabian Ruiz, the Paris Saint-Germain star, who is preparing to leave the Princes’ Park Stadium this summer.
Henry added that the Spanish player will add great strength to Barcelona’s midfield and will also give the attackers more opportunities due to his high ability to pass through balls that hit any defense line in the world.
Henry continued: Fabian Ruiz is the ideal partner for Pedri and Gundogan in Barcelona, as he possesses tremendous physical strength, is tall, has defensive awareness, skill in coverage, and excels in duels and joint balls.
He concluded that if Hansi Flick wants to succeed with Barcelona, he must sign this player, whatever the cost. Without him, the team will not succeed even if he signs Williams and Olmo together.
