The British newspaper The Athletic confirmed that Real Madrid is close to concluding the race to sign Franco Mastantono, the Argentine River Plate star, to be the third signing of the Madrid team this summer.
The British newspaper indicated that the player’s contract with his Argentine team included a release clause worth 45 million euros, rising to 50 million euros in the final days of the transfer period.
The newspaper concluded that there is a strong competition between Real Madrid and the Premier League clubs that aspire to sign this player, but the player’s desire is to join Real Madrid only.
