According to Defensa Central, Federico Chiesa offered his services to Real Madrid ten days ago. The midfielder currently plays for Juventus, with whom he has a contract until next year, but he wants to leave Italy as soon as possible.
It was his agent who took matters into his own hands, and began a round of contacts with several teams, including Real Madrid. The agent estimated Chiesa’s departure at about 30-40 million euros, as he was in the last year of his contract.
In Madrid, they expressed their gratitude for the offer, but did not show any interest in signing the player to the club, stressing that Chiesa’s position is “well covered” and, therefore, is not an interesting file in the executive management, headed by José Ángel Sanchez.
It seems that Chiesa, who is only 26 years old, has reached the point of no return, to the point that Thiago Motta, the Juventus coach, left the player aside and did not summon him for the friendly match that the team played yesterday against Brest.
Having been rejected by Real Madrid, Chiesa’s most likely destination is Manchester United, who are significantly strengthening their ranks in the ongoing summer transfer window.
