According to information received from the Spanish newspaper “Defensa Central”, the midfielder is one of the names that has been linked to strengthening Madrid’s midfield, as an alternative to Kroos, but it does not seem that his arrival will take place this summer, although there is an option for the future.
The newspaper added: In 2025, with Guardiola already indicating the possibility of leaving Manchester City, this may be the ideal time for Rodri to leave for a reasonable price, with the end of his contract approaching in 2027.
