The management of the Spanish club Barcelona is planning to finalize some new deals this summer, to strengthen the team’s ranks during the upcoming summer transfer period, through exchange deals with some European clubs.
In recent seasons, the Barça battalion has been suffering from a huge financial crisis, which prevented it from signing special deals in addition to the departure of some of its stars.
According to information received from the Catalan newspaper Sport, Barcelona is working intensively to strengthen its squad before the start of the new season, especially in light of the great need to sign a left winger.
The main goal was to sign Neco Williams, but this deal currently seems impossible, as the player is expected to continue with Athletic Bilbao for another season.
The newspaper added: Faced with this situation, Hansi Flick personally contacted his former player at Bayern Munich, Ivan Perisic, who became free after terminating his contract with Hadjuk Split due to his disagreements with coach Gennaro Gattuso.
The newspaper concluded that Perisic, who is 35 years old, expressed his great desire to join Barcelona and work again under the leadership of Flick, as one of the Croatian sources said: “Perisic will be happy to play in Barcelona.”
