The management of the Spanish club Barcelona is planning to finalize some new deals this summer, to strengthen the team’s ranks during the upcoming summer transfer period, through exchange deals with some European clubs.
In recent seasons, the Barça battalion has been suffering from a huge financial crisis, which prevented it from signing special deals in addition to the departure of some of its stars.
The Spanish newspaper “Sport” reported that Barcelona officials are planning to enter Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong in a swap deal with Bayern Munich, in exchange for contracting with Joshua Kimmich, the midfield star whom Flick wants to sign by any means.
The newspaper added: “If Bavarian rejects this deal, Barcelona will have one solution, which is to sell the Dutch midfield star to another club, with the aim of financing the deal for the German star.”
The newspaper concluded: “De Jong is considered at the forefront of the players within Barcelona who enjoy great marketing value, and his departure will be a solution to pump a large amount of money, especially with Flick’s desire for the player to leave.”
Joshua Kimmich has entered the interest of many European clubs, as Barca’s new coach, Hansi Flick, is committed to including the player due to his great quality and flexibility to adapt to any role given to him on the field.
