Spanish press reports revealed the latest developments regarding the players leaving the first football team of Barcelona during the current summer transfer period.
Hans Flick seeks to get rid of the players he put outside his plans for the new season, in addition to the fact that the departure of some players will facilitate Barcelona’s task in registering new deals.
Spanish journalist Atio Morito said that Barcelona’s current priority is to facilitate the exit of Clement Lenglet, Mikael Fay, Vitor Roque and Ferran Torres during the Mercato.
He added: “The goal is to reduce the wage bill and reduce the size of the team as much as possible for Hansi Flick before returning to the market again for new signings.”
The journalist added that Hansi Flick told Laporta that this quartet will not leave Barcelona this season and their departure is better for them and the team, and whoever refuses to leave will be frozen on the bench and will not participate for a single minute throughout the season.
It is reported that Clement Lenglet is close to leaving for Atletico Madrid, Mikel Faye is close to leaving for the Premier League, and Vitor Roque is on the verge of joining Real Betis on loan, the only player who refuses to leave is Ferran Torres.
