Barcelona continues its efforts to adjust its financial situation in order to conclude a contract with one or two world-class deals to strengthen the team’s ranks in the new season.
It is noteworthy that Barcelona was able to conclude the contract with the star midfielder of the Spanish national team and Leipzig club Dani Olmo, but the player has not been registered yet due to a problem with the increase in the salary scale and Barcelona needs to sell one or more players.
According to information received from the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Barcelona is still adjusting its lineup for the new season, and one of the names affected by the selection process is Alex Valle.
The young left-back, who returned from a loan at Levante, received a clear message from Hansi Flick: he will not be counted on for this season. With this decision, Valle was forced to pack his bags and look for a way out, which will finally take him to Celtic Glasgow.
Valle’s situation at Barcelona was complicated from the start despite showing good performances during the pre-season, even being used as a right-back in some of the matches of the US tour, but Flick chose not to give him continuity in the first two official matches of the Spanish League.
Barcelona are aware of the need for the player to have minutes to continue his development, and the player decided to look for a way out in the form of a loan and thus, an agreement was reached with Celtic Glasgow, who will pay the player’s full salary during his loan period.
The newspaper concluded: Alex Valle has been one of the most promising young players at La Masia in recent years and his versatility on the pitch, able to play on both the left and right sides, was seen as a fundamental pillar for the future of Barcelona. However, competition in the first team and Flick’s decision to prioritize other players has led to him moving away from the Camp Nou in the near future.
