After the end of the European Mercato, there are still some important files that the Barcelona administration has not finished regarding the departure of some players from the team.
It is noteworthy that Barcelona succeeded in contracting with only two deals in the last Mercato, namely the young striker Pau Victor and the star midfielder of Leipzig and the Spanish national team, Dani Olmo.
According to information received from the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, the Barcelona club administration is facing a new crisis with the Dutch team player Frenkie de Jong, as reports indicate an escalation of tension between the player and the club president, Joan Laporta.
The newspaper added that the crisis began when De Jong felt that Laporta was seeking to get rid of him since he took over the presidency, because he was not part of the contracts concluded by the current administration, in addition to the player’s agent not being close to the president.
What complicates the situation is that De Jong refused to leave the club, because he receives a high salary that he will not be able to obtain in any other team. In light of this atmosphere, doubts are increasing about the player’s future in the club, especially with his current injury that may require surgical intervention soon.
