Italian media revealed the danger facing Barcelona regarding losing one of its targeted deals during the next summer transfer period.
Barcelona seeks to sign players whose contracts are about to expire due to the major financial crisis that the Catalan team has been going through recently.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, a Mercato expert, said in a podcast on the “Wondery” network that Bayern Munich has been trying hard for months to reach an agreement with Leverkusen regarding the Tah deal.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Bayern Munich had already reached a personal agreement with Tah regarding the terms of his contract 3 months ago and Bayern Munich still intends to sign him for free during the summer Mercato period.
Fabrizio Romano explained that Barcelona has a good relationship with Pini Zahavi, Tah’s agent, which may help the Catalan club in the negotiations, but Barca will find it difficult to approach the financial offer submitted by Bayern Munich.
Fabrizio Romano pointed out that Barcelona is still suffering from exceeding the salary cap and Barca is unable to use all the money it earns in transfers.
It is worth noting that Barcelona tried to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah in the last summer transfer window, but decided to postpone the deal for a year and sign him for free after his contract with the German club ended.
