Barcelona officials, headed by Joan Laporta, are close to signing the German league star during the next summer transfer period 2025, to strengthen the ranks of the Catalan team.
Barcelona continues to search for some free deals to strengthen the team’s ranks, especially in light of the major financial crisis that the Catalan giant has been going through in recent years.
According to information received from the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, which revealed that Hansi Flick, the technical director of the Catalan team, agreed with Jonathan Tah, the Bayer Leverkusen player, to sign him during the next summer transfer period 2025.
The newspaper added that Flick asked Laporta and Deco to make every possible effort to secure Tah’s transfer to Barcelona, to strengthen the defense line that may witness major changes due to the possible departure of Inigo Martinez and Eric Garcia.
The newspaper continued that Tah, the captain of Bayer Leverkusen, is considered one of the pillars of the defense that contributed to achieving a historic season for the team when Bayer Leverkusen won the German League and the German Cup without losing any match.
The newspaper concluded that Jonathan Tah rejected a huge offer from Bayern Munich to sign him and insisted on joining Barcelona, and this is what the player Hansi Flick told him in a personal call.
