The Spanish capital derby between Real Madrid and its rival and neighbor Atletico Madrid ended in a 1-1 draw, as part of the Spanish League competitions.

The match witnessed riots by Atletico Madrid fans after scoring the goal, and the referee was forced to stop the match for more than 10 minutes.
Real Madrid’s score rose after the draw in today’s match to 18 points, with which the team occupies second place in the Spanish League standings, while Atletico Madrid occupies third place with 16 points.

According to information received from the Spanish newspaper Defensa Central, the Italian coach held Real Madrid star Courtois responsible for the draw in the last moments against Atletico Madrid.
Ancelotti told Courtois that he started provoking the fans after Real Madrid scored its first goal, which is something he should not have done because the interruption of the match gave Simeone the opportunity to regain control of the match.

The newspaper added that Ancelotti warned the Brazilian player Endrick against shooting too much randomly, especially since he refused to pass the ball to Bellingham in a better position than him and made the wrong decision to shoot.
The Italian coach informed the player that if he continued in this manner, he would remain on the bench throughout the season and would not get his full chance.

The newspaper indicated that club president Florentino Perez went to the Real Madrid dressing room immediately after the match and expressed his anger at the Italian coach, whom Perez held responsible for tonight’s draw.
Perez did not like Ancelotti’s changes that made Real Madrid lose its strength, as Real Madrid played in the last minutes with 4 full-backs: Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez in addition to Mendy and Ferran Garcia, which does not suit Real Madrid’s attacking personality.

The Italian coach received a warning from Perez that the state of contraction he showed against Atletico tonight while Real Madrid was better will not be repeated again.
The newspaper added that Perez wondered why Arda Guler, the player who would have energized the team’s attack, did not participate and asked Ancelotti to give the player more opportunity in the upcoming matches.

The newspaper concluded that Perez went to Real Madrid star and man of the match Federico Valverde to congratulate him on his great performance in the match: “You represented the character of Real Madrid on the pitch.”
