Barcelona are having a good season so far, and despite suffering their first defeat in La Liga this season against Osasuna, the Catalan team is still leading the standings with 21 points, three points ahead of rivals Real Madrid.
Barcelona are preparing for a tough away match as they visit Deportivo Alaves, carrying a strong desire to return with three points and erase the effects of the heavy defeat in the last round, especially since this match will be the last before the upcoming international break.
Barcelona legend Rivaldo confirmed in a radio interview with Radio Catalunya that Ferran Torres is considered one of Barcelona’s worst players this season, indicating that the player is not worthy of representing a team the size of Barcelona.
Rivaldo added: “I wonder why the player continues to participate in the starting lineup despite not providing any noteworthy contribution to Barcelona since the beginning of the season.”
Rivaldo suggested that Hansi Flick should give a chance to young player Pau Victor, who performed brilliantly in the pre-season tour and deserves the opportunity instead of Ferran Torres, who has not proven anything with the team so far.
Brazilian legend Rivaldo advised German coach Hansi Flick to exclude Spanish player Ferran Torres from Barcelona’s squad this season.
Rivaldo said: “I do not see any positive impact from Ferran Torres on the team, and it is better to look for other options to strengthen the squad and sell the player in the next transfer window.”
These statements come at a time when Barcelona are looking to improve their performance in both local and European competitions, which makes the role of each player in the team crucial.
