Many decisive decisions were made by the German coach Hansi Flick at Barcelona, which have so far proven the correctness of his choices after the wonderful performance that the Catalan team is presenting under his leadership.

It is noteworthy that Barcelona tops the La Liga table with 24 points after winning 8 matches and losing one match against Osasuna.
According to information received from the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Hansi Flick was as firm as Xavi Hernandez, as he forced Vitor Roque to leave Barcelona.

From the beginning, it was clear to him that Roque did not have the necessary qualifications to be a basic or even useful player in the team’s lineup, which made him frustrated with the performance he showed in the first training sessions and friendly matches before the season. Therefore, he did not hesitate to open the way for him to leave.

He told Joan Laporta that the best decision would be to sell Vitor Roque and seek to recover 30 million euros fixed and 30 million euros variable, which is the value that was paid in January based on Deco’s recommendation.
Several offers to sign the Brazilian international, who was considered one of the most prominent football stars in South America, appeared from clubs such as Sporting Lisbon, Lazio, Newcastle United, and Porto.

However, the 19-year-old striker refused to leave Barcelona permanently, as well as offers from Al Hilal and Al-Ettifaq of Saudi Arabia, as he was convinced of his ability to succeed in Europe and return to the Catalan team. Thus, he chose to leave temporarily to stay in La Liga, gain experience, and regain his competitive rhythm.

He found his destiny at Real Betis, and despite his promising start by scoring a goal in his first matches, he completely disappeared. Despite the opportunities given to him by Manuel Pellegrini, he was unable to regain his level and was no longer a key player in the Andalusian team.

Doubts are growing about the correctness of Deco’s decision to sign Roque, who may be considered one of Barcelona’s biggest failures in recent years.
At the moment, it seems unlikely that Vitor Roque will return to Barcelona, even with Robert Lewandowski likely to leave at the end of the season, as Flick does not want to deal with the player again and believes they should find a buyer for him as soon as possible.
