The English newspaper “Daily Mail” revealed that the Manchester City management wants to sign the Spanish player Martin Zubimendi, who plays for Real Sociedad, during the upcoming winter transfer period of 2025.
The newspaper added that the English Premier League champions seek to sign him as soon as possible and want to benefit from his release clause of 60 million euros, potentially moving for him in January.
The newspaper indicated that the Spanish midfielder was one of the most important players sought by Barcelona’s German coach, Hansi Flick, last summer, but the financial crisis that the Catalan team is experiencing prevented the completion of the deal.
