The German newspaper “Bild” revealed that Real Madrid has a plan to attract a prominent defensive deal from its rival Barcelona, after the end of the current season.
Real Madrid has been suffering from an injury crisis recently, especially in the defense line, as both David Alaba and Eder Militao are absent.
For some time, the Spanish club has been looking for a defender to strengthen its ranks, as attention was directed towards Lenny Euro before his move to Manchester United.
According to the report, Real Madrid intends to sign defender Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen, who announced that he will not renew his contract and will leave the team at the end of the season.
Also, Barcelona is showing interest in Tah, while Bayern Munich is also looking to sign him, which makes the player’s position attractive to major clubs, especially since it will only cost them his annual salary.
Tah is one of Barcelona’s targets, as German coach Hans-Willich inquired about the possibility of including him in the summer transfer market, and asked Laporta to sign the player in any way possible to strengthen the Catalan team’s defense line.
On the other hand, the report indicates that Real Madrid has begun negotiating with Jonathan Tah’s agents, and the player intends to study all offers presented to him in January before making his final decision regarding his future.
