Real Madrid is considering a major swap deal with Liverpool during the upcoming summer transfer window to bolster their squad in the summer of 2025.
Real Madrid is looking to sign Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold to increase their options in that position after star Dani Carvajal’s injury, which will keep him out for an extended period.
According to a report published by the Football Spain website, Real Madrid is contemplating offering their French star Aurelien Tchouameni to Liverpool’s management to convince them of the feasibility of selling Arnold.
Real Madrid’s offer to acquire Arnold will include a substantial sum of money in addition to the services of midfielder Tchouameni, who has not been able to deliver the expected level with Real Madrid.
The club’s management believes that, given Liverpool’s need for new reinforcements in midfield, Tchouameni’s inclusion will facilitate their efforts in the race to sign Arnold.
Real Madrid rules out involving their talented player Rodrygo in any potential swap deal, but they would welcome using Tchouameni in this context.
Arnold’s contract with Liverpool expires in June 2025, and if the Reds do not reach a new agreement with him, he will leave for free at the end of the season.
