Worrying blow for Barcelona before PSG.. three stars doubtful as Flick reveals the details

Despite a big 5-2 win over Real Betis, Hansi Flick left La Cartuja visibly worried, after an injury scare hit Barcelona days before their trip to Paris Saint-Germain.

The German coach did not hide his concerns in the press conference, revealing three names whose involvement in the European clash is now in doubt.

According to GOAL, Flick confirmed that Eric Garcia and Gerard Martin were both forced off with physical discomfort, while Jules Kounde is struggling with minor issues, with the trio set for medical tests back in Barcelona.

Garcia was the biggest concern after feeling sharp discomfort in his right quadriceps. He went down and needed treatment before heading to the dressing room, having recently been playing with a protective mask because of a nasal issue.

“By the moment the most important thing is to recover. Recovery is very important and to see how we manage the minutes on Tuesday. We will see, we will look for 11 players. We don’t know what will happen with Eric, Kounde has small problems, Gerard too, we will have to see. We have two more days and we will see what happens on Tuesday. We have to wait for the medical results,” Flick said.

He also praised his side’s set-piece work: “It is important to have that strength at set pieces. I’m happy to have scored the second goal before the break,” and called Lamine Yamal the best player in the world at the moment after another brilliant display.

Barcelona travel to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday in the Champions League before hosting Real Madrid in the Clasico next weekend.
