Frenkie de Jong was fouled by Real Sociedad players during the first half of the match: one tackle struck his shin, and another hit his ankle.
\nThe newspaper added that these incidents made the Dutch midfielder fearful of suffering a new injury that could hamper his recovery and progress back to full fitness.<\/p>\n
The Dutch star had been sidelined for five months due to an ankle injury before returning on October 1. However, he is still in the recovery phase.
