\nSpanish press reports have indicated that Real Madrid is keen to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi in the upcoming summer transfer window.<\/p>\n
There has been much speculation regarding how closely Martin Zubimendi\u2019s potential transfer to Real Madrid is linked to Xabi Alonso taking over as coach in the near future.
\nAs reported by the Spanish newspaper “Relevo”, which confirmed Real Madrid’s interest in signing the Sociedad midfielder next summer, Zubimendi’s release clause is set at \u20ac60 million, making the deal financially feasible.<\/p>\n
The newspaper also explained that with the possibility of Alonso succeeding Ancelotti, the deal could become easier for Los Blancos due to the strong relationship between Alonso and Zubimendi. The two previously worked together at Sociedad, and they share the same agent.
