Spanish coach Xabi Alonso has started planning his new project as Real Madrid manager, with his appointment imminent, replacing Italian Carlo Ancelotti.
\nSpanish network Telemadrid reported that Alonso has asked Real Madrid president Florentino P\u00e9rez to revamp the attack by signing a striker during the current summer transfer window.<\/p>\n
Xabi wants Real Madrid to sign striker Viktor Gj\u00f6rkeres, the Sporting Lisbon forward who is enjoying an exceptional season, making him worthy of a move to the next level.
\nThe Swede has become one of Europe\u2019s best strikers, but a deal to sign him would cost millions, something Real Madrid is unlikely to be able to afford at the moment, meaning Alonso\u2019s desire may not be fulfilled.<\/p>\n
Alonso is aware of this and has put two alternative options on P\u00e9rez’s table should the Gj\u00f6rkeres deal fail: Viktor Okoh Boniface or Patrik Schick.
