Barcelona has identified a new striker to eventually replace current Polish forward Robert Lewandowski and to reinforce the attacking line with a high-quality talent.
\nLewandowski excelled last season, scoring 42 goals and playing a key role in the team’s domestic treble of the league, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup. However, Bar\u00e7a is considering a long-term successor.<\/p>\n
The Catalan club is planning for the future by targeting a younger striker, especially given that the Polish veteran is now 36 years old.
\nAccording to Cadena SER radio, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has placed Argentine striker Juli\u00e1n \u00c1lvarez, who currently plays for Atl\u00e9tico Madrid, at the top of his wishlist for the upcoming transfer window.<\/p>\n
Bar\u00e7a will not be able to sign \u00c1lvarez this summer but intends to begin the 2026\u201327 season with its current striker, Lewandowski, before bringing in the Argentine forward after that campaign.
