Joan Laporta, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FC Barcelona, made strong statements during his press conference.
\nLaporta held a press conference in which he revealed that Xavi Hernandez, coach of the Catalan club\u2019s first football team, will continue to coach Barca next season after reaching an agreement with him.
\nJoan Laporta, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FC Barcelona, stated that La Liga representatives congratulated the Catalan club on their efforts at the club and we are working towards the 1\/1 rule.<\/p>\n
He added: Stability in the project is of very great importance. I believe it is one of the keys to success, and we always want the players, the coach, the sports administration, and the directorate to continue to gain confidence, and we always want Xavi Hernandez to continue.
\nHe continued: We saw clearly that Xavi Hernandez wanted to continue. There were many reasons pushing him to do so, so we called everyone to announce the continuation of Xavi Hernandez in a collective decision, and we did not speak to any coach other than him.<\/p>\n
He continued: Barca’s three priorities with Xavi next season are to return again to winning the La Liga title, which the team lost this season, and it is absolutely not permissible to fail to reach the knockout rounds in the Champions League.
\nThe third priority is the continuity of positive results and putting an end to the fluctuation in the team\u2019s level, as Barcelona this season was unable to maintain a high level for a long time, and the absence of good performance cost the team many points in La Liga and led to its exit from the King\u2019s Cup.<\/p>\n
The Spanish newspaper \u201cSport\u201d confirmed that Laporta, if any future failure occurs, whether in the league, cup or champions championship, will not have mercy on Xavi again and will give him a farewell kiss.<\/p>\n
